17 Unique Business Ideas

 

start quickly and easily and with a

small amount of money now starting a

business is never easy there are no such

thing things as get-rich-quick schemes

it just doesn't work so you have to

start a business small and then

gradually build it up but all you need

is one simple idea and you could be on

your way to making a fortune that's the

way most people start they just come up

with one simple idea and then take it

and develop it into a long-term

profitable business so I want to show

you a source that you can go to wherever

you live close to where you live and

find lots of other ideas what I'm

showing you today are just some examples

just to get you thinking about different

things and thinking well maybe I could

adapt this idea into something and then

add this on so it's just really to get

your juices flowing and to give you some

ideas so where can you go to find this

source of business ideas what you can do

is you can go to your local use book

store or thrift store and go into the

nonfiction books and you will find

dozens and dozens of ideas here's just a

few okay turn your kitchen into a

goldmine could you start a business

related to food in this in this book it

shows you people that have made a lot of

money from selling nut house brownies or

jumbo size cookies or crowd-pleasing

six-foot party sandwiches and cheese

cakes and different things so again you

just need one niche idea and it can set

you off in all sorts of directions now

the next idea is start your own personal

or personal concierge service what you

do is you run errands for people you go

to the chemists that to the drugstore

for them or you go to the supermarket

you take their pet to the vets or you

take them to the doctors you do jobs

around their house to help them out and

they will pay you fifteen to twenty five

dollars an hour so a nice little

business there now here's another one

making your own jams you might think

there's not a lot of money in this but

actually there is there's a guy here I'm

in the UK and he started a company

called super jams and now his brand is

sold in over 2,000 stores around the

world and turns over millions and he got

the idea from a couple of recipes from

his grandmother now here's another one

teddy bears making teddy bears there was

a guy worked in the financial markets

making a good income but he didn't like

it so he decided to start a business

selling limited edition teddy bears so

he'd make four thousand five thousand

limited edition and these were sold for

high prices and again the business took

off and did extremely well how about you

become a private investigator you could

make a hundred thousand dollars a year

from being in a private investigator you

don't have to follow people and and and

film partners cheating on each other

nowadays it's more for corporate clients

and they want work done online away from

their head office and away from their

offices so nobody knows what's going on

so could you become a private

investigator or maybe this is another

one old British beers and how to make

them but it doesn't have to be British

beers it could be from Brazil from

Argentina from Canada from all different

places around the world and you get

recipes from from years gone past and

then start a a

small brewery you could make their own

beers starting in a garden shade and

build it up from there here's another

idea making money from your garden now

for over ten years I ran a garden

franchise business where I I taught

people how to sell plants on weekends so

they could keep their job all week and

on the weekends they sold locally grown

plants and a lot of people made more

money from selling those on one day at

the weekend than they did for the entire

week of going to work so could you start

selling garden plants they'll cost you a

dollar and you sell them for $4 or you

can grow them yourself for a few pennies

so there are places you can buy them

from wholesale and I say the cost about

a dollar and then you sell them for $4

and people love their gardens they're

not just gonna buy one plant they will

buy 10 plants 20 plants from you at a

time it's an amazing business or maybe

you fancy being a virtual assistant now

a book like this is really comprehensive

and will show you everything that you

need to start a high-class

virtual assistant business and start

making money pretty quickly you could be

up and running within two to four weeks

but maybe you've got experience maybe

you started maybe you your honeymoon you

did it on a budget or your wedding and

you could show people how to save

thousands of dollars and they could pay

you a percentage so you could start

honeymoon on a budget or a wedding on a

budget again people spend a fortune on

their weddings now another one is sewing

sewing is come back in popularity a lot

of older people know how to sew but you

could teach you could start a so in

school and teach young people how to sew

they've got a lot of interest in it now

adays you could do clothes alterations

there's lots of different things that

you can do in that niche and connected

perhaps to that is the country cross

stitch designs there are websites where

we'll pay twenty thirty forty dollars a

month for different designs and they get

them all online so maybe you could do

something like that now from when I was

growing up eight nine ten years old this

was the book that I had this was long

long before the internet and we didn't

have a lot of toys and things to do but

this book kept me amused not for hours

but for weeks it was full of party games

and magic tricks and jokes and different

things now with the interest in

children's books with Harry Potter and

that that's been done to death but could

you come up with a different

interpretation or something a little bit

different for for children so a book

like this would go down a storm and

could sell really really well what can

you come up with and of course buying

and selling cars there's a lot of money

in buying selling cars you go to

auctions you pick up a decent car you do

it up maybe you get a mechanic to look

it over and spend hundred dollars on

having improvements made but there's a

good profit in cars

here's another one DVD that I picked up

at a thrift store wedding invitations

designing making wedding invitations

handmade wedding invitations people love

that sort of thing the handmade angle

and you can charge good prices when it

comes to weddings people are spending

twenty thousand dollars or more on their

weddings so they'll they'll pay a few

hundred dollars for things like again we

go back to food related things could you

start your own sandwich van business or

maybe you could take sandwiches to local

offices and sell them there it doesn't

take much to start and if you do

something a little bit different if your

sandwiches are really good there's going

to be a queue of people waiting to buy

your products again go for quality don't

always go out to be the cheapest one of

the mistakes that a lot of people make

is to try and be the cheapest you never

want to be the cheapest because someone

else will come along and under

that's you go for quality every time

because that's where the profits are

because you've got enough margin in

there between your costs and what you're

selling for to make a good profit and

profit is everything okay another idea

tutoring tutoring business there's a

lady not far from me and I probably need

her services she offers elocution

lessons over the Internet online

elocution lessons so could you offer a

tutoring service online teaching people

to speak Spanish or French or something

like that especially for businesses not

just for normal people because they can

go out and buy these CD sets and and

their online courses but if you aimed it

for business for someone that's going

overseas on business and they want to

talk to suppliers or customers about

business then maybe you could target the

tutoring towards the business side

because they will pay more they have got

bigger budgets than the ordinary people

so again could you offer a tutoring

service in this way or maybe with

schools people want their kids to do

well so if there are subjects at the

schools that aren't being taught very

well and you have some knowledge and

experience of that you could earn good

money from private tutoring and finally

the last of the 17 is the crafts

business now this books 30 creative

entrepreneurs and how they built up

their business handmade and crafts

things are a massive market nowadays

let's give some examples there you could

sell things on Etsy or eBay or Amazon

but the crafts business again I want you

to think of ideas and develop these

things that I've shown you maybe you

could run local craft shows where you

get a lot of stallholders to come along

and they pay you $50 each and then you

rent a local or hire a local whole and

you put on the

the craft fair and and promote it in

your area books on on Facebook and so

forth adverts on Facebook and then you

take money as people come in you charge

them a couple of dollars to come in to

look around so you get the money from

the people coming in and you get the

money from the stallholders so you've

got that income and you could run one

one or two every weekend and again build

up a business that way the events

markets where people put on events is

massive so again you could take this

idea and develop it into something else

these are just ideas to get you thinking

to get your mind and your juices flowing

about yeah I could take that idea but

how about if I developed it in this way

or that way so these are just 17 ideas

to get you started and I'll come up with

other videos with other ideas and I'll

go over things where I've started

businesses from zero and built them up

so all the mistakes I've made I'll show

you a lot of the mistakes I've made and

believe me they've been a lot over the

years but I've started more than 30

different businesses so I have a lot of

experience that I can pass on to you so
